Django Set User as current user via admin

I need to set the 'project_created_by' value to the user who adds a new record to the Project model via the default django admin panel. Currently it shows up as a dropdown of all users.

class Project(models.Model):
    project_name            = models.CharField(max_length=25, unique=True, default="", blank=False)
    project_created_by      = models.ForeignKey(User, unique=False, on_delete= models.CASCADE, blank=False)

What is the simplest way to do this?
